CHANDIGARH POLICE on Tuesday submitted a chargesheet towards a Panjab College Senator and professor at Punjabi College, Patiala, allegedly for sexually harassing the principal of a school in Moga.
The chargesheet was submitted towards the accused, Professor Harjodh Singh (51), below sections 354 (assault or prison power to girl with intent to outrage her modesty), 509 (phrase, gesture or act supposed to insult the modesty of a lady), 354A (sexual harassment), 365 (kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to restrict individual), 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint) of the Indian Penal Code. The chargesheet was submitted within the courtroom of Civil Decide Jagmeet Singh.
Police sources stated the chargesheet features a checklist of 11 prosecution witnesses, together with the complainant, Arun Kumar Grover, Vice Chancellor of Panjab College, Col (Retd) G S Chadha, Registrar, PU.
