Vijay fan arrested for posting derogatory comments against PM Modi

The disagreement between the BJP and actor Vijay followers over ‘Mersal’ spilled over offline after a youth was arrested in Srivilliputhur for allegedly posting derogatory feedback in opposition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The arrest got here after BJP district secretary Okay Marimuthu filed a criticism with Srivilliputhur city police.

The youth has been recognized as Thirumurugan, an engineering diploma holder from Virudhunagar. He has been charged with 67 of the Info Know-how Act, 2000 (Punishment for publishing or transmitting obscene materials in digital type), and CrPC part 505 for conducting public mischief. The accused had allegedly posted derogatory feedback in opposition to PM Modi in a non-public chat on a messenger service.

Vijay followers and BJP members clashed on-line following the discharge of the actor’s newest film ‘Mersal’. A scene within the movie criticises the Centre’s initiatives such because the Items and Companies Tax and Digital India. The BJP had demanded the makers of the movie to take away the “incorrect” scenes.  BJP state President Tamilisai Soundararajan reportedly filed complaints in opposition to a number of Twitter customers for abusing her.
